Why These Two Brides Chose BASH for their Wedding

February 20, 2024

Nicolette and MaryGrace hosted their gorgeous summer wedding at BASH.

The couple had a very clear vision of what they want they wanted their wedding to look and feel like, and opted to hire BASH Planning as their month-of planner, to help pull together final details and coordinate the big day.

Month-of planning eased the brides’ minds, as they knew they had a trusted partner to make the day easy. BASH Planner, Madison describes working with Nicolette and MaryGrace as ‘an absolute blast!’

The women chose various shades of blue and neutrals for their color scheme, and thrifted dozens of vintage books to use as centerpieces. Both love to read, and the books brought depth and texture to their decor.

In addition to the books, our team placed live plants on each table to add additional color and personality. The trailing stems and semi-wild shapes complemented the books and runners to create an eclectic yet cohesive vibe.

Nicolette and MaryGrace asked their friend, a local pastor, to be their officiant. The pastor wore a rainbow robe, and performed a heartfelt and joyous ceremony. Guests were simultaneously crying and laughing, as the couple’s love and relationship was reflected on.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside on BASH’s patio, while our team flipped the space.

The brides danced into the reception together, enjoyed traditional special dances, and listened to speeches by their wedding party members. Handheld pride flags were placed on guest tables, which everyone proudly waved all night long.

The couple utilized BASH’s gold shelf in lieu of a memory table, to display photos of loved ones they were missing.

Along with a full bar, BASH Beverage served specialty cocktails named after the brides’ two cats, Mabel and Layla.

The couple had a homemade cake with mini lego versions of the brides as the topper. It was such a cute addition to their day, and really showed off their personalities. Guests were fawning over it all night!

For the guests’ dessert, Ohanalulu served ice cream out of their bright blue food truck! The truck was parked just outside of BASH’s garage doors, making it easy to grab a bite and jump right back on the dance floor without skipping a beat!

Guests danced all night long, passing around a large pride flag, and enjoying every moment of this lively celebration!
