A Brunch Wedding Reception at BASH

April 23, 2024

Abigal and Ben were in school in Ohio when they booked their wedding at BASH. Throughout the wedding planning process, they juggled classes, internships, and moving in together. We all know how chaotic this can feel!

Wedding day details

Abigail worked as a wedding coordinator in the past and understood the importance of having someone who could take the stress of setting up for their wedding day off their plates. As a result, the couple booked a 12-hour rental, plus BASH Planning’s month-of coordination service. The shorter rental window allowed the couple to allocate additional funds towards planning services, so they could have the best of both worlds!

Despite how busy she was throughout the planning process, Abigail did an amazing job planning the wedding of her dreams! On the day of, BASH Planner Madison helped them pull together a beautiful morning ceremony, which included lots of music.

Ben is a musician, so he and his groomsmen had their guitars out all morning. During the ceremony, members of the wedding party led their 150 guests in singing worship songs. “It was very touching and extremely unique and special to them as a couple,” said Madison.

Instead of having the traditional cocktail hour, the couple opted for a lemonade hour with a DIY Lemonade bar for guests to customize their lemonade. This was the perfect refreshment on a warm August day! During this time, the wedding party went offsite for photos.

Once the wedding party returned, the couple was introduced and brunch began. Panera catered the wedding, and guests loved the casual and delicious food!

After brunch, Abigail and Ben entertained guests by playing the shoe game, showing who knows who best.

Before their send-off, the couple opted to have a secret last dance — an absolute favorite tradition of the BASH Planning team! Secret last dances are one of our favorite traditions because they allow the couple to reflect on their beautiful day together and end their event with an intimate, private moment. The photos are AMAZING and watching this special moment makes us cry every time.

To wrap up the day, guests did a beautiful bubble send-off, which was so much fun for the kiddos!

“Abigail and Ben are truly an amazingly sweet and kind couple. They’re very, very great together,” noted Madison.
