Why This Couple Hired BASH Planning For Their Carmel Wedding

July 3, 2023

When it came to planning their May 2023 wedding, Hannah and Ben had no idea where to start. The couple eagerly booked partial planning with BASH in order to turn their vague vision into reality.

After looking through BASH’s Instagram, the couple became very inspired by the photos from a previous BASH planning client, which helped us have a starting point when it came to design and vendor choice.

BASH planner Madison met with the couple every month to update rentals, discuss decor, make decisions on vendors, and, of course, to reassure them that all of the planning was under control!

Hannah and Ben were both very involved in the planning, and decided on a rustic feel with light blue hydrangeas and bright sunflowers. We also added gold and neutral accents to tie everything together and create the style they were looking for.

Hannah’s bridesmaids wore beautiful blue gowns, paired perfectly with blue ties for the groomsmen.

To further the “barn wedding” inspired rustic vibe, the couple rented cross-back vineyard chairs from A Classic Party Rental, and a birch arch from their florist, Eufloric Events.

The birch arch was adorned with a beautiful combination of sunflowers and greenery, and was later repurposed as the backdrop for the head table!

Off-white gauzy table runners were displayed on each of BASH’s in-house farm tables, accented by light blue napkins, black lanterns, and floral arrangements.

The reception focused on many personal details that were important to Hannah and Ben. Their grand entrance was to the Avenger’s theme song, and the couple opted for non-alcoholic champagne to be served for guests to toast with during speeches.

For dessert, the couple opted for a smaller cake, which was served only to the wedding party as a special thank you for being part of their day.

Hannah has a gluten allergy, so the couple chose Aspasia Bake Shop to provide all of the delicious gluten-free treats! A large display of cupcakes was available for the rest of the guests, and many were shocked that they were gluten-free.

After formalities, guests danced the night away to music from Complete Weddings & Events until it was time for a special send-off.

The couple exited through a tunnel of glow sticks, and drove off in a sporty getaway car! Their personalities were very well represented with this twist on a traditional wedding exit, and guests loved the glow sticks.
