After eight years of dating and an Easter egg hunt-themed proposal, Kate and Rob had a bright, beautiful Spring wedding at BASH.
To kick off their wedding planning, the couple scheduled a meet-and-greet with BASH Planner, Madison.
Both Kate and Rob work demanding jobs and knew that they would need someone in their corner to help keep all the details in order. They also knew they didn’t want to deal with decor or vendors on event day – just getting ready and being fully present on their event day.
After their meet-and-greet, the couple decided to upgrade from Month-Of Coordination to Partial Planning.
Madison helped them bring their vision of bright florals, with various shades of greens and blues for bridesmaid and groomsmen wear, to life.
Guest tables were kept simple with greenery, petite floral arrangements, and candlelight.
The couple took advantage of the in-house decor credit included in their Partial Planning package, and rented BASH’s gold ceremony arch and yard games.
The florist, Urban Contessa, created two installations that were used during the ceremony, and later repurposed for a photo backdrop.
During the ceremony, Kate and Rob did a wine blending ceremony as their “unity” item. This was a fun twist on the unity candle or other traditions we typically see!
During the day, the couple and their wedding party took photos all around BASH. Their bright florals and the wedding party’s colorful attire really popped against the white brick!
Kate and Rob entered their reception holding tiki cups, which they provided to the wedding party for BASH bartenders to use for their cocktails. The couple loves tiki bar vibes, so this was a fun way to incorporate that into their day.
To kick off the reception, Rob surprised Kate with a song that he had written and recorded! This was a beautiful surprise made possible with the help BASH Planner, Madison.
A few months prior to their wedding, Rob reached out to Madison to figure out the best way to surprise his future bride with this sweet gesture. Madison made sure their DJ received the song, and coordinated the best time for the surprise. The information was kept top secret, and left out of the timeline and other documents to ensure Kate would not find out.
The DJ announced a “very special song” to begin open dancing, and Kate slowly realized the song was about them! It was a very emotional moment, and Rob was so happy he was able to pull off the surprise.
Later in the evening, Kate, Rob, and their wedding party went outside for the mock send-off with lightsabers. This was such a unique thing to them, and honored their love for each other and their personalities.
Congratulations, Kate and Rob!
